Our Grant-Funded Massage Room
We're thrilled to share that we've successfully transformed an underutilized area of our salon (a catch all, junk room.....eeek!) into a peaceful and inviting massage room! This project was made possible thanks to American Express and Main Street American, who awarded us with a $10,000 grant earlier this year!
The Challenge:
For years, we've had a small, unused space in the back of our salon. While it had potential, it lacked ambience and functionality, and mostly served as a catch-all for our overstock supplies, and unused equipment. With the growth of our team, to include a Massage Therapist, Esthetician, and now a Nurse Practitioner, two services rooms were no longer enough.
The Solution:
With the grant funding we received earlier this year, we were able to:
Renovate the Space: We completely revamped the space, dividing the new room from the laundry room, laying subfloor, painting the walls a calming color, installing new flooring, and adding soft lighting.
Decor & Furnishings: We used calming green accents with a pop of red, to decorate the space.
Create a Tranquil Atmosphere: Low lighting and relaxing music, completes the vibe.
The Impact:
This new massage room will make a significant impact on our business. It will allow us to:
Increase Massage Appointments: We will be able to accommodate more clients, to meet the growing demand for massage therapy services. Jamie offers 30 min, 60 min, and 90 min massages, chair massages, prenatal massages and cupping!
Enhance Client Satisfaction: Our clients will enjoy the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere of the new room. The new space has a chair and shelf, so clients have a place for their personal belongings during their service, and since it is now the farthest room in the back, the clients will experience a serene atmosphere, away from the hussle and bussle of the styling floor.
Support Our Massage Therapist: Our main goal is always to support the professional growth of our stylists and team members. When their careers are growing, we do what we can to help promote and foster it!
Grow Our Team: This project has provided our massage therapist with a new dedicated space, which means her room is now home to our newest team member, who will be offering med spa services!
Offer New Services: Our newest team member will be offering Botox, Microneedling, Laser Hair Removal, Microdermabrasion, and much more!
In addition to the new massage room, we were able to purchase 9 new styling chairs, 5 service carts, and a processing lamp.
